NEW WORK NEW WORK IN THE WELL CALLING ALL PROPONENTS OF EXPLODING HEART THERAPY!
after World premier of after, public performance explosion for five men wearing their hearts on their sleeves and tethering the tide between death and exultation. Presented for Streets of Melbourne, a street art and street theatre festival over 3 days in January (9,10,11) the project calls into mind the universally challenging and humorous works of street performance art from Australia and Europe in the 80's-90's. Coffee never tasted this bitter!.
Take off Your Skin: A Kurunoz Mass During 2009, we are developing a mass kurono locative media public performance. 250-500 people will partake in the viral art project stemming from Yasuko Kuruno. The appearance will take place in the city of melbourne and online, at a location to be announced on the day. If you want to participate (and really, who wouldn't want to be a Japanese Replicant?) stay tuned and we'll come together soon.

the next 3 well works delve into physical and conceptual areas that can be diluted through the terms placed above.
the projects are currently in expectation. as art babies taking up a phenomenal amount of room in gestation. of course we hope birth is given evenly, smoothly, and 3 healthy new borns surface to grace the world with original gifts of presence.
in fear and formal understanding of the way things actually are in this circuit (we call australia, we call the arts, we call...) they may all be mutants, conjoined in various places, malformed, or in the worst case, dead at birth.)
we shall wait and see. the end of this current 3 month cycle (for well waves in this shape of destiny and density) comes to an end in less than a month. the next cycle of activity will flow from there.
if mutated - smaller, localized efforts will result in outcomes and process.
if born - healthy and alive - the projects will be felt hard and experienced locally, globally, internally and externally by many, affecting not only through their installation of scale but also through the suggestion, the offering of involvement and the very nature that its question possesses, requesting from those who walk to it and those who pass or be near it.

'DOWN' - RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT#2 JAN 09
Vacirca and Buckley venture into a new public space work. 'DOWN' is an immersive environment for one person at a time. During R & D 1, Buckley will work in physical and virtual testing ground for the installation aspect and Vacirca will develop a sound conceptual and interactive working base for the artist and audience. Alongside this a bit of market research will occur (such a horrible term) to configure how best to play with/against expectations of audience and the industry. Buckley and Vacirca will be aided by Paul Lim (lighting designer) and Hans Van Dyck (design and construction consultant) through this process. MUAP - WELL have just submitted D.O.W.N for exhibition at Melbourne Urban Art Prize at Fed Square in November. If successful the exhibit will come at the perfect time to showcase our development. We have chosen to represent the work as a 'concept in infancy' - its pretty tricky and cute, i'll keep you updated. If the award is granted it will allows us to create the full scale work and also contribute towards a 2 month r and din Europe and ASIA for Buckley and the Brothers Vacirca.
GREAT WALL OF BOOKS ONGOING
Team WELL 2008 undergo a transformation intensive - taking works that have
been donated by public participants “to be transformed” and converting
them into new works of art for display/engagement in the consequent public
presentations. WARNING: performance, multi-media, composition, sculpture and new things may

This is the prediction for the next public presentation of the Great Wall
of Books. There are many negotiations nationally and internationally at present, it
is always interesting to play the prediction game.

SLOW ART DEVELOPMENT ONGOING
We are currently developing three new major works. We have decided to take
a slow-approach in developing these projects. This year sees lots of grant
writing, forward planning, sideways strategising and creative dialoguing…
